PCBN Cutting Tools - Polycrystalline Cubic Boron Nitride

PCBD (polycrystalline cubic boron nitride) is comprised of a polycrystalline layer of CBN crystals and a tungsten carbide substrate bonded together. PCBN tooling is used to machine ferrous materials such as hardened steel and nodular iron.

Discs of PCBN materials can be cut into the shapes required using our 'State Of The Art' CNC, EDM wire cutting machine.

These blanks are highly polished and induction brazed onto steel or carbide blanks and finished to size on our top of the range Swiss machines.

Excellent edge conditions can be obtained to give high surface finishes on components. A full re-lapping and re-tipping service is provided for PCBN on a quick turnaround service.
